Love the GREEN

It is important for consumers to be educated on how their daily actions affect their lives and the lives of future generations. Fashion has become an outlet for inspiring knowledge that propels us to take action against being a "consumer whore*". What is a consumer whore you ask? Do you buy water bottles and throw them away? Or wear certain garments only once? Do you hate the idea of recycling? YOU ARE A CONSUMER WHORE! You consume till Mr. Visa says, "You're Maxed Out!!"

Here's a few simple steps to being more ecologically conscious;

1. Buy a reusable water bottle. I love my Hello Kitty Gaiam H20 bottle from Whole Foods.
Here's a cute pink one for under 15$!!

2. Use recyclable bags when you go grocery shopping! Most grocery stores sell super cute and affordable ones.
Here's a cute one from Gaiam made of 100% Organic Cotton (19$)

3. Buy vintage clothing! It's adorable, unique, and doesn't come off a conveyor belt. These products have already been made in years past so their carbon footprint can't increase unless you dispose of it improperly. Love the vintage! Love a unique look! You're friends will be jealous.

Here's some great Vintage stores:

Important points:
1. Going "green" is certainly a trend that doesn't seem to be on the decline. In fact, many celebrities, businesses, fashion designers (etc) are constantly getting scolded for not being, or having products that are environmentally friendly.

2. If anything, hopefully these companies/designers understand what is actually overall healthy for the environment and if they're doing that, or not.
